About the firm

A Chennai chambers built for the long matter

Juris & Nova Chambers advises individuals, families and businesses from Parrys, minutes from the Madras High Court. We take a limited number of matters so each one receives the preparation it needs.

Why the firm exists

The chambers was founded on a simple observation: most clients do not lose because the law was against them, but because their case was assembled late, their documents were incomplete, or nobody explained the choice in front of them clearly enough to decide well.

So we work backwards from the outcome. What must be proved? What document proves it? What is the fastest legitimate route to protection? Those three questions shape every engagement, whether it is a bail application at midnight or a shareholders' agreement that must hold for a decade.

We are deliberately mid-sized. Large enough to cover dozens of practice areas with specialists, small enough that a partner knows your file without being briefed.

Our values

Four principles that govern every file.

Preparation over performance

Cases are decided on records, not rhetoric. Every brief that leaves our chambers has been read end to end by the advocate arguing it, and every factual averment is tied to a document before filing.

Candour, even when it costs us

We tell clients when a claim is weak, when a settlement is better than a decree, and when the honest answer is that the law does not help them. Fee pressure never shapes that advice.

Discretion as standard

Family disputes, criminal allegations and commercial fights are all sensitive. Consultations are private, file access is restricted, and we never discuss a client's affairs to demonstrate experience.

Clarity in language and cost

Advice is written so a non-lawyer can act on it. Fees are agreed in writing by stage, and we do not bill for adjournments we did not cause.
